There are four foreign radiologists employed by the Ministry of Health and Wellness, says Assistant Minister Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe.

Mr Lelatisitswe told Parliament that all the four radiologists were foreigners.

He further said the ministry had employed 786 medical doctors, 106 pharmacists, 100 medical specialists and 92 radiographers.

He further explained that there were 599 medical doctors against 187 non-citizens and 45 local medical specialists as opposed to 55 foreigners.

He also said there were 71 pharmacists as citizens and 35 non-citizens. Regarding radiographers, Mr Lelatisitswe said there were 24 locals against 68 foreigners.

The MP for Nkange, Mr Edwin Batshu had asked the minister to state the number of medical specialist, radiologists, medical doctors, pharmacists and radiographers employed by his ministry.

He also asked how many of those employees were citizens and how many were foreigners in each category. Ends
