There is no available record showing a disaggregation of expenditure relating to aviation fuel and other associated costs incurred by government on President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi’s trips.

Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Machana Shamukuni said President  Masisi, as the country’s head of state, was entitled to official transport at all times, whether on official or private business.

He said he was not in a position to breakdown the costs relating to expenses incurred during the President’s campaigns for presidency of Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) as required By Francistown South MP, Mr Wynter Mmolotsi.

Mr Mmolotsi had asked the minister to provide a breakdown of aircraft fuel and other associated costs incurred by government during the President’s campaigns for BDP presidency. Ends
