Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness, Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe says the site for Tutume Primary Hospital was handed to the consultants on February 14, 2019 to facilitate commencement of designs.

He told Parliament that the ministry was currently reviewing stage two of the design for the hospital, which was envisaged to complete by end of July 2019, while stage three and four designs were expected to be completed by mid October 2019.

Mr Lelatisitswe said tendering for construction was planned to commence beginning of November 2019, while construction was scheduled for February 2020.

Mr Lelatisitswe said following conclusion on the designs, Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing Development would avail cost estimates to facilitate development of a project memorandum, which was aimed at sourcing funds for construction of the hospital by end of August 2019.

He was answering a question from Nkange MP, Mr Edwin Batshu, who had asked the minister to  update Parliament on the progress regarding the construction of the hospital as per National Development Plan 11. ENDS
