19 Aug 2013
The Lenmed Health Bokamoso Private Hospital (LHBPH), chief executive officer, Mr Ruben Naidoo says the establishment of the LHBPH consultation rooms in Palapye will make their services more accessible to doctors in the outlying areas.
Speaking at the official launch of LHBPH offices in Palapye on Saturday, Mr Naidoo said with the creation of the LHBPH, specialists will be able to deal directly with the general practitioners and the health facilities. He said when LHBPH started the outreach programme last year, a conclusion was made that general practitioners in the outlying areas had no relationships with specialists.
He however said the hospital had embarked on an outreach programme that will improve patient care and bring positive outcomes. He said specialists would provide days in which they will make themselves available in Palapye to do consultation and days will be communicated to general practitioners and healthcare facilities.
Mr Naidoo said LHBPH pride itself as the most advanced, patient care driven facility in Botswana. “We pride ourselves as having the most advanced technology in private healthcare environment and by having the largest amount of specialists in a private healthcare facility we will achieve this”, he said.
He said the hospital has the most advanced technology in private healthcare in Botswana such as the cauterization laboratory, the physical rehabilitation centre and the oncology centre.
The Headman of Arbitration in Palapye Kgosi Klaas Motshidisi thanked LHBPH for deciding to extend the hand of assistance to Palapye residents.
He said Palapye is a fast growing village with a population of 41 000 adding that the population continues to grow faster than any other village in the country. Ends
