Funds allocated not inadequate
18 Jul 2019
Parliament has learnt that funds allocated to Gaborone North for gravelling of its internal road were inadequate. Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Kgotla Autlwetse said as such, Gaborone North councillors were consulted during which a decision to abandon other projects was reached to augment funds allocated for the gravelling project.
He said consultations took longer hence the commencement of the project was delayed. MP for Gaborone North, Mr Haskings Nkaigwa had asked the minister to state when the laying of gravel and other improvements would be made to the four entry roads under the Constituency Development Fund in Gaborone North Farms. He also wanted the minister to state what delayed the implementation of the project, when would it begin and how long would it take to be completed. ENDS
