Ministry to decentralise procurement

Minister of Agricultural Development and Food Security, Mr Fidelis Molao says his ministry is working on decentralising the procurement process to allow for Government Purchase Orders (GPOs) to be produced at sub-districts such as Tutume by September 2019.
He told Parliament that he was aware that centralisation of authority in Serowe under the Central District coordinator impacted negatively on service delivery, particularly maintenance of vehicles. MP for Nkange, Mr Edwin Batshu had asked if the minister was aware that the centralisation of authority in Serowe under the Central District coordinator impacted negatively on service delivery. ENDS
