Ministry issues stationery to 2685 headmen
09 Jul 2019
The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has procured and distributed 2785 hardcover books and pens to the districts in December 2018 for issuance to 2685 headmen of arbitration countrywide to record matters brought before them, Assistant Minister Ms Botlogile Tshireletso has informed to Parliament.
She said some of the stationery was still with district and sub-district headquarters. Ms Tshireletso said she has directed all the districts to issue the stationery to all headmen of arbitration forthwith for efficient service delivery. She was answering Nkange MP, Mr Edwin Batshu, who had asked the minister to state why headmen of arbitration were not supplied with stationery such as pen and paper, yet they were expected to assist their communities with written submissions or confirmations from time to time.
