Liquidators fees amount to over P2million

The Liquidators’s fee on Messina Copper trading as African Copper mining currents stands at P2.4 million.
This was said by Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security, Mr Eric Molale when responding to MP for Gaborone Central Dr Phenyo Butale who had wanted to know how much the liquidator had been paid to date and the amount owed to employees who were retrenched by the mine when it went under liquidation in 2015.
Minister Molale said P1.8 million had already been paid to the Liquidator and P620 000 was still outstanding.
He said at the time of Liquidation, the amount owed to staff in respect of their terminal benefits was recorded as P23.79 million, which amount was included in the list of approved creditors. ENDS
