Pilane Vision Society donates printer to customary court

10 Jun 2019

Kgosi Zacchious Kaeparura has applauded Pilane Vision Society for donating a four in one printer to Pilane Customary Court.

Speaking in an interview, Kgosi Kaeparura said the printer would go a long way in assisting them to do their daily office duties.

He indicated that the printer they had been using was too slow and ocassionally broke down, making it difficult to diligently do their work. He said they often  used personal resources to get the job done.

“This four in one printer comes with a scanner, photocopier and fax,” he said, adding that it came almost a year since they were promised the machine by the society.

Kgosi Kaeparura said they were short on many other resources including office furniture and air conditioning.

“We end up having to go outside to warm ourselves up in the sun and in summer we still go outside to sit under tree shades because it is too hot,” he said, adding that the furniture they were using was old.

He called on other possible donors to visit their office and see what they could help out with, to improve their working environment.

For his part, Pilane Vision Society vice president, Mr Molefe Madisa said the society was registered last year and was a non-profit organisation aimed at helping the youth, under-privileged members of the community and assisting under-resourced organisations among many other duties.

He said they had in the past, donated to various causes in the community and would continue helping out.

“After donating the printer to Pilane Customary Court, we noticed that the desktops they are using are not up to standard and we will assist with new desktops,” he promised, adding that the printer was sourced from ITECH Botswana.

Mr Madisa said they were planning a launch so that their existence would be known.

“We will also announce after deliberations and necessary meetings on what we will be doing going forward. We want to either adopt a school, clinic or kgotla and we will let our stakeholders know in due time,” he said.

He pleaded with stakeholders to help those in need. ENDS
