Agape Dare Care donates to Palapye Hospital

21 May 2019

Agape Day Care Centre in Palapye last week donated 20 blankets to the children’s ward at Palapye Hospital.

Handing over the blankets, chairperson of the centre’s Parents Teachers Association (PTA), Mr Ogogile Bontsi said the day care centre had been donating to the hospital annually and that this year they decided to purchase blankets as it was winter.

Mr Bontsi emphasised the importance of caring for those in need, especially children.

The hospital lab superintendent, Mr Gaoraelwe Letsibogo appreciated the donation, saying the blankets would keep children warm in their hospital beds during the winter season.

He said they had been working together with Agape Day Care Centre for the past years, adding that the two had a special relationship.

Mr Letsibogo said the centre’s donation demonstrated love and care for children.

On other issues, Mr Letsibogo noted that Palapye Hospital provided services not only to residents but surrounding villages as well.

Giving a vote of thanks, chief registered nurse at the hospital, Ms Koziba Molebalwa thanked Agape Day Care Centre for the good gesture.

She explained that the hospital had been experiencing challenges of shortage of blankets, especially for children.

She said the blankets would come in handy. ENDS
