19 May 2019

Lotlamoreng Junior Secondary School teachers have been urged to work to the best of their abilities and make a difference in students’ lives.

Global Transformation and Network, executive director, Mr Taolo Moshaga informed teachers that changing how they perceived life would assist them to prosper.

“Life is about passion. Act and stop being angry. Be a good fighter and meditate daily,” he advised.

Mr Moshaga also advised them to be true to themselves, noting that how they reacted to challenges facing them mattered.

The education sector, he said depended a lot on them because the same students they were grooming now, would tomorrow be accountable at work and their conduct would be a reflection of their mentors.

He said he was not impressed by the results of schools in the area and hoped teachers would work to improve the situation. He  encouraged students to also do their bit.

The school head, Ms Baratang Bokete appreciated the motivation and acknowledged that as mentors, they needed to change their mindset.

‘’Change the way you have been thinking, ask yourself what is it that you can do, to improve performance,” she said.

Ms Mokete advised teachers to appreciate students’ abilities and understand that they were from different family backgrounds.

She said sometimes plans failed but going back to a good start was essential.

She appreciated teachers for acknowledging that they needed to have passion in what they did. ENDS
