Letlhakeng Police investigate murder

Letlhakeng Police are investigating a murder case in which a 23-year- old man allegedly stabbed a 19-year-old young woman with a sharp instrument at a bar in Mantshwabisi village on May 4.
In an interview, Letlhakeng Station Commander, Supt Mogomotsi Kesupile said the duo was said to be in a tumultuous relationship.
He said the young woman had gone to Mantshwabisi to check on her father and the suspect was alleged to have followed her there where he later stabbed her.
Supt Kesupile added that the woman was stabbed several times and was rushed to Scottish Livingstone Hospital in Molepolole, where she later succumbed to the stab wounds.
He said the suspect had been arrested and would remain in custody while helping the police with investigations.
The two were said to be originating from Serinane village in the Letlhakeng/Lephephe constituency.
The station commander advised lovers to amicably sort out their differences.
He said couples going through difficult relationships should seek psychological help so that they deal with their challenges.
He said such incidents leave sadness in the community particularly in the families of those involved. ENDS
