Elephant summit starts tomorrow

The Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism will host the Elephant Summit from May 03-07.
The gathering will begin with a technical meeting of senior officials tomorrow, followed by a meeting of Ministers on the May 6 culminating in the Summit of Heads of State on May 7.
The Elephant Summit is a result of the call President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi, in response to the escalating challenges confronting elephant conservation and management.
The theme of the Summit is “Towards a common vision for the management of southern Africa’s elephants”. ENDS
