Board and Management of Sir Ketumile Masire Teaching Hospital has deferred the hospital opening date from April 24 to a date that will be communicated.

A press statement from the teaching hospital says the postponement follows a review of numerous project quality and service imperatives and that the commissioning team is working round the clock to ensure necessary mitigation plans are in place for a speedy opening.

“The hospital guarantees the public and its valued stakeholders that their focus is to ensure the highest level of care and diligence in providing service to the public as signified by their ‘Committed to Excellence’ mantra,” it states.

The release further says updates through different media platforms will be given to inform stakeholders and the public of current developments. ENDS
