Vice president calls on Christians to live Biblical principles
22 Apr 2019
The Vice President, Mr Slumber Tsogwane, has called upon the Christians to follow the spirit of truth and avoid being overpowered by the devil.
Mr Tsogwane said the devil was everywhere and most of the time seduced multitudes into sin.
He said to defeat the devil, they should invite the Lord of Glory into their lives.
Officially opening the Good Friday ceremony for Eloyi Christian Church in Tsetsebye on April 19, he said the devil was deceptive hence the need to read the bible to find the truth.
He urged Christians to answer the call of the Lord and do as commanded, noting that Christians should also serve as true and patriotic servants.
Mr Tsogwane said Christianity was a calling to serve, not only on its broader notion but rather to serve with a purpose.
He said Easter had always been a perfect time to celebrate the belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and that moment came as a time of the promise that God gave a human being, a promise of eternal life and a season of renewal.
The vice president also described Easter as the time for Christians to recall the pain the Jesus Christ went through and the strength that it took to rise back from the dead.
Mr Tsogwane requested Eloyi Christian Church to pray without ceasing, seeking God’s guidance and divine intervention in their prayers.
He urged them to pray for the country and leadership to always exercise patience and lead with purpose.
He noted that devotion and discipleship were the greatest components in addressing social ills of a society.
Mr Tsogwane appealed to churches to distance themselves from lust, selfishness and self- desires that could cause conflicts within the church.
Senior Pastor Dikakanyo Bapadiloe thanked the VP for gracing their event, noting that they felt obliged to invite Mr Tsogwane to their event because he gave them emotional support last year during Easter holidays after they lost some of their members due to a road accident. ENDS
