Orapa House refurbishment on plans
14 Apr 2019
Orapa House is yet to be occupied because the cost estimate for the refurbishment has been found to be unaffordable to government.
This was shared by Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Nonofo Molefhi. He said they had since instituted a review of the proposed designs.
“Orapa House was bought by government in 2014, and currently I cannot confirm when it will be occupied since the refurbishment of the building is still being planned,” he said.
Nkange Member of Parliament, Mr Edwin Batshu had wanted the minister to explain when Orapa House was bought by government, when it would be occupied, and why it had remained unoccupied for such a long time.ENDS
