Masisi to visit Qatar

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi leaves on April 14 for Doha on a two-day state visit at the invitation of Sheikh Tamin Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar.
A press release from the Ministry of International Affairs and Cooperation states that during the visit, the two heads of state will hold bilateral talks with a view to further deepen and expand cooperation between Botswana and Qatar.
The talks will focus on various areas of development including agriculture, trade and investment, mining, education and tourism.
“The two leaders will also deliberate on regional and international issues of mutual interest,” states the release.
According to the release, President Masisi’s visit would be preceded by a meeting of senior officials as well as a business forum involving parastatals and private sector companies from both countries.
Dr Masisi’s entrourage will include Minister of International Affairs and Cooperation Dr Unity Dow, Minister of Defence, Justice and Security Mr Shaw Kgathi, Minister of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism Mr Kitso Mokaila, Minister of Transport and Communications Ms Dorcus Makgato, Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Mr Eric Molale, Minister of Agriculture Development and Food Security Mr Patrick Ralotsia and Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Ms Bogolo Kenewendo .
They are expected back home on April 16. ENDS
