Eight Kgatleng villages have computers
09 Apr 2019
Department of Tribal Administration has provided eight computers to eight villages out of 13 that constitute Mochudi East constituency, says Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Kgotla Autlwetse.
Responding to a question in Parliament, Mr Autlwetse indicated that Matebele, Dikwididi, Ramonaka, Mokatse and Ramotlabaki were the only ones without computers due to budgetary constraints.
He stated that he was aware that the absence of computers for Tribal Administration officers had a negative effect on service delivery and it was an inconvenience to customers.
The ministry, he said, would prioritise procurement of such computers for those five villages, together with other deserving villages countrywide, funds permitting.
MP Moagi Molebatsi of Mochudi East had asked the minister what had been done to provide computers at Tribal Administration offices in Kgatleng East constituency and how officers were expected to operate without computers. ENDS
