North West Education acting regional director Mr Baamogeleng Moteti has encouraged Moremi III Memorial School non-teaching staff and teachers to unite to create a conducive environment for academic excellence.

Speaking at the school teachers’ awards recently, Mr Moteti said the school leadership should always create a conducive environment for teachers to produce better results.

By the same token, he said teachers should also create the same environment for learners in classrooms for them to produce good results.

He challenged teachers to always work together as trinity which involves teachers, parents and learners so that they all can be accountable for the good or bad results at the end of the day.

“Our mission in this trinity is to work together for good academic results,’’ he said.

He applauded Moremi school for its consistent academic performance since 2016, when it got 84 per cent, 87 per cent in 2017 and kept the 87 per cent in 2018.

Mr Moteti encouraged the school to keep and sustain the culture of good performance as well as turn it into a tradition.

He said the government could not manage all schools in the country, hence there was a need for businesses to help.

“Companies are willing to come on board, only if they can see all of us working hard and producing quality results because investors need to be associated with winners,’’ he said.

For her part, the school head, Ms Nkonda Sethare thanked every individual in the school as well as the PTA for the initiative of rewarding teachers and learners’ performances.

“We have engaged parents to always visit classrooms and we also give them assignments to work with learners and at the end of the day it benefits our performance,’’ she said.

Meanwhile, PTA chairperson Mr David Zachariah appreciated every individual and companies such as CEDA, Water Utilities Corporation, Delta Spar and Aquarite Maun for their support.

He said they would continue working with all their supporters, adding that every year they host awards ceremonies for teachers, learners and non-teaching staff. ENDS
