The Directorate on Intelligence and Security (DIS) is at the finalisation stage as all information for the past 10 years had to be subjected to audit review.

Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Machana Shamukuni said this in response to a question from MP for Selebi Phikwe West, Mr Dithapelo Keorapetse in Parliament.

Mr Shamukuni explained that the audit covered all the financial years from inception (2008/09) to the current year under review (2017/2018).

MP Keorapetse had asked for an update on the DIS audit, and wanted the minister to further confirm if it was never audited by the Auditor General since 2008.

The minister was also to state the reasons for its non-auditing, and if it was audited in the last financial year and whether all the previous years had been audited.Ends
