OLDM official commends North East District Council employees

02 Apr 2019

Orapa, Letlhakane and Damtshaa mines (OLDM) senior support services manager, Mr Thatayaone Sithole says the success of every organisation is not driven by an individual pursuit, but through team work.

Mr Sithole said this when congratulating North East District Council employees at their excellence awards ceremony in Masunga recently.

He said the council leadership should be inspired to work towards improving productivity and igniting the spirit of team work.

He added that when working together and pulling in the same direction, the response to client’s needs became ingrained.

“Productivity is never an accident, it is always a result of commitment to excellence, intelligent planning and focused effort,” he added.

Mr Sithole also commended long service and good conduct awards recipients, saying they were the pioneers and pathfinders and that they had gone before many to carve the path and lead the way.

“It is important for members of staff to know and see evidence of an organisation that recognises and values good work,” he highlighted.

He said award ceremonies cultivated and watered others so that they too could bear fruit.

For his part, Kgosi Thabo Masunga III also congratulated the award recipients for their hard work and excellence, and further encouraged them to always strive for the best.

He said there was also a need to address and pay more attention to issues of service delivery and poverty, as they were also a concern in their district.

The recipient for the diamond award (best performing employee of the year) was Mr Kabelo Gulubane of Arch and Buildings Department, who was described as highly competent and staunch team player who embraced the organisational mission, vision and goals. Ends
