Chief executive officer of Maun based Doctors Inn Health Centre Dr Maxwell Nhlatho said the private clinic owes its success to support from clientele and stakeholders in Maun.
Speaking at the fifth year anniversary of the health centre on Saturday, he said it has since experienced growth over the years because of its varied services as general practitioner, physiotherapy, radiology, occupational, emergency services and laboratory for all tests.
He noted that before establishing the private clinic they undertook a benchmarking exercise on how to best provide a unique health centre with critical services. He observed that their five-year journey was not smooth as they experienced challenges.
Dr Nhlatho said the health centre had put up a dedicated team of staff to meet clients’ needs to expectations. He observed that health clientele were facing challenges as they still had to get some services from private hospitals in Gaborone. He however said Doctors Inn Health Centre had a dream to curb such challenges and in future provide services such as admission of patients.
The Inn Health Centre, chief operations officer Ms Tebogo Nhlatho said the clinic had 26 staff members and appreciated clients and stakeholders such as Botswana Meat Commission and blood donation unit who, since inception of the centre in 2014, had been loyal and supportive. She also encouraged Batswana to donate blood to help save lives.
Dr Sandra Maripe from the Ngami District Health Management Team (DHMT) encouraged Maun community to take preventative measures against Non-Communicable Diseases and said diet and exercise lead to good health.ENDS
