Botswana will host The Global Leadership Summit slated for April 16-17 at Mantlwaneng Theatre, Westwood International School in Gaborone.
Speaking at a press conference recently, Global Leadership country director, Mr Wendell Allmon said the intention of the summit, which will be done through video cast, was to contribute to the growth of leadership crucial to the development of Botswana.
The summit, he said, would target different areas such as education, government, military, the private sector and the church.
Mr Allmon said the platform would present an opportunity to be inspired and motivated by some of the world’s top captains of industries, saying speakers include the founder and senior pastor of the Potter’s House T.D Jakes, New York Times best-selling author and optimist, Mr Simon Sinek, the founder and CEO of Quali Health and social entrepreneur, Dr Nthabiseng
Legoete and the founder and chairperson of Econet Group and philanthropist, Mr Strive Masiyiwa, among others.
He pointed out that any country’s economic status was visible through the lives of its community, hence the platform aimed to develop leadership that would in-turn help build sustainable communities.
The Global Leadership Summit is all about developing leaders.
“When leaders grow, Botswana grows, when leaders are better, Botswana gets better,” said Mr Allmon.
He therefore said the summit would be a formal platform to inspire leaders so that communities would be inspired to develop in different areas of life and to their best ability.
He encouraged people to buy tickets for the summit as they would get fresh, actionable influence.
The summit will be held under the theme: Everyone Has Influence. Ends
