Autlwetse appreciates World Group of Companies

The Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Kgotla Autlwetse, has commended World Group of Companies for donating school uniform to Moreomabele Primary School and other schools in Serowe North constituency.

At Moreomabele Primary School on Monday, the World Group of Companies donated to 188 pupils out of which 99 were girls and 89 were boys. 

Each boy got a pair of school shoes, two pair of trousers, two shirts and two pairs of socks, two vests, three underwear, a jersey and a packet of sweets.

The girls received a pair of shoes, two uniforms, two pairs of socks, two vests, a jersey and three under wears. 

Girls were also given hair pieces to plate their hair.

The organisation also donated blankets to all teaching staff, PTA members, dikgosi and  the elderly.

Mr Autlwetse explained that it was not the first time the World Group of Companies made donation of such in his constituency of eight wards. 

He said annually the organisation donated to two schools and this time around Moreomabele and Mabeleapodi were in the list of beneficiaries.

Mr Autlwetse explained that Mr Raffik Sarda and his company’s donations were a blessing from God to schools in the Serowe North constituency including Moreomabele Primary School. 

He said the uniform would motivate and encourage pupils to do their best. 

He said the uniform would give the children dignity because they would all look well dressed as others.

Mr Autlwetse also thanked the organisation for taking heed to his call to assist less privileged children in some schools in his constituency with uniform and applauded them for going an extra mile by donating to all primary schools in the Serowe North constituency. 

He also called on parents to play their part in their children’s education.

Moreomabele Primary School school head, Miss Rebecca Mogale, thanked Mr Autlwetse for liaising with World Group of Companies to assist children with school uniforms and other items. 

She said the school uniform was an element of identity among pupil saying the gifts would motivate the children to do well.

She explained that in 2017 the school obtained a 66.7 per cent pass rate and in 2018, the school recorded 76.9 percent pass rate. 

She said the gifts would encourage children to do better this year and pass the national target of 80 per cent pass rate.

The chief education officer, Ms Wanani Gunda, commended Mr Autlwetse for securing donations for pupils.

 She said at the end of the day World Group of Companies responded to his call to assist children in schools in his constituency including Moreomabele Primary.  ENDS
