BMW crashes into BMC wall

A male driver escaped death by a whisker on March 23 morning after the vehicle he was driving veered off the road and crashed against Botswana Meat Commission (BMC) parameter fence wall in Lobatse.
The shocking accident which occurred along the town centre road, left the black BMW sedan badly dented and with all its wheels damaged. The BMC parameter fence wall was also damaged with a gaping hole visible on it. However, the driver who was travelling alone, survived with no serious injuries.
Assistant superintendent Johnson Gaolaolwe of Lobatse Police Station, said in an interview that the police were still investigation the cause of the accident. Mr Gaolaolwe explained that the accident occurred around five o’clock in the morning.
Some witnesses said the driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, but Mr Gaolaolwe said police officers managed to follow and brought him to the station for questioning.
“The driver was alone and he is not injured. It is not clear about the cause of the accident but we are still asking him questions,” he said.ENDS
