One dies 12 vehicles burn down in aircraft crash

Police have confirmed that one person died and 12 vehicles were burnt down following an aircraft crash at Matsieng Airstrip in Rasesa in the Kgatleng District yesterday.

Assistant Commissioner Dipheko Motube said they did not have details of the deceased.

And, Officer Commanding for District No 12, Senior Superintendent Kevin Mookodi said the vehicles were burnt down as a result of the blaze from the crash.

He said the aircraft was owned by Dewet Drilling Company in Rasesa.

Senior Superintendent Mookodi said at the time of incident , there were people at Matsieng Airstrip but none of them were hurt. 

Police and Civil Aviation  Authority of Botswana investigations are ongoing to determine cause of the crash. ENDS
