President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi has commended Winners Chapel International for its dedicated service to the nation.
Dr Masisi, who graced the church’s Sunday service with the first lady, Ms Neo Masisi, said the church had made efforts to uplift Batswana’s spiritual and material well-being.
He said Winners Chapel empowered people through training and development, job creation as well as social responsibility initiatives.
He further said it was commendable that the church had a workforce of over 35 people, 33 of whom were Batswana. On social responsibility, he said it was worth noting that Winners Chapel International was involved in various charitable endeavours in the community such as provision of footwear for underprivileged children in schools as well as toiletries and Christmas gifts to inmates in prisons.
He stated that the church also provided welfare relief packages to some orphanages.
President Masisi said because of its acts of goodwill, there was no doubt that the impact of the church was noticeable among Batswana.
“It is my considered view that the impact of the church must grow exponentially and be felt on a national scale. I therefore urge the entire membership and the leadership of this ministry to continue to pray for the success of our inclusive national economic transformation initiatives, the unity of all Batswana and the continuation of the peace and stability that we so much cherish in this country,” he said.
For her part, the First Lady implored members of Winners Chapel International to continue to make prayer their tradition, calling on them to particularly pray for children so that they could turn out to be the kind of people that God wanted them to be. Ms Masisi said children held the future of the country, therefore, they needed to be nurtured well.
Winners Chapel International’s head pastor, Mr Stanley Nkwoji assured President Masisi that the church would continue to pray for him and the nation. Ends
