Know your boundaries - committee told
14 Aug 2013
Tsabong Sub-district child protection committee has been advised to monitor and evaluate results.
Social and Community Development secretary, Ms Nametsegang Peloyame urged committee members to monitor their work and evaluate it to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
“Monitoring your progress helps to eliminate clutter and delay in carrying out duties assigned to each member hence promote time management and increase the level of output.
Evaluating your results helps you to understand the nature of your results, it gives you a clear picture of whether the results you obtain are exactly what you were aiming to obtain and if not come up with possible solutions to the problem at hand before damage is done, she said.
Evaluation also ensures effective use of resources,” she said.
She also explained that evaluating their progress created an atmosphere in which they can easily prevent unfortunate incidents from happening and address them before they occurred.
Ms Peloyame observed that people, businesses and organisations that monitor and evaluate their work were more likely to be successful than those that did not.
Again, she advised the committee, whose mandate is to ensure child protection in Tsabong and neighbouring villages, to effectively utilise its resources. ENDS
