Government will buy primary teaching resources and textbooks in May this year.
This was revealed by Minister of Basic Education, Mr Bagalatia Arone in Parliament recently.
He said the shortage of textbooks in both primary and secondary schools in Nkange constituency was caused by the limited resources by the completing students.
He said in the meantime secondary textbooks were being supplied to schools.
Nkange MP, Mr Edwin Batshu had asked the minister whether he was aware of the prevailing critical shortage of textbooks in both primary and secondary schools in Nkange constituency.
He also wanted the minister to explain why such a situation, which affected schools performance, was allowed and when the textbooks would be supplied. ENDS
