Threshold determined by Parliament

The constituency fund threshold of P10 million per constituency is determined by Parliament, local government and rural development assistant minister, Mr Kgotla Autlwetse has said.
“In this regard, my ministry cannot consider increasing the constituency fund in constituencies with townships by P5 million over the current P10 million threshold per constituency,” he said.
Member of Parliament for Nata-Gweta, Mr Polson Majaga had asked the minister to consider increasing the constituency fund in townships such as Nata/Gweta (Sowa) and Jwaneng/Mabutsane (Jwaneng) by P5 million to cater for the townships. ENDS
