The Ministry of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology spent over P2.8 million on consultancy services for 2017/18 and over P1 million for 2018/19.

Minister Thapelo Olopeng informed Parliament that the first training plan for the ministry was in 2017/18, in which 43 officers were trained at masters level followed by 11 in 2018/19.

The Department of Teacher Training and Technical Education trained 42 officers in 2017/18 while eight were trained in 2018/19.

The Radiation Protection Inspectorate trained one officer in 2017/18 while three officers were trained in 2018/19.

Specially Elected MP, Mr Mephato Reatile had wanted to know the number of employees who were sent for further studies at masters level or specialisation, and the amount spent on consultancy services during the past five years. ENDS
