Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security, Mr Eric Molale says over P168 million has been spent on consultancies in the past five years by his ministry.

Mr Molale also said 23 officers from his ministry were sent for further training at Master’s level and that some were trained through external donor funded scholarships.

Of the 23 trained officers, the minister said five were from the Department of Energy, two from the Department of Mines, while nine were from the Department of Geological Survey and seven from the Department of Water Affairs.

Specially Elected Member of Parliament, Mr Mephato Reatile had enquired about the number of employees that were sent for further studies at Master’s level/specialisation and the amount spent on consultancies for the past five years. ENDS
