10 Mar 2019

Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Nonofo Molefhi has acknowledged that the road between the Ramokgwebana Border Post and the actual boundary line with Zimbabwe is in a bad state.

Answering a question in Parliament from MP for Nkange, Mr Edwin Batshu on behalf of Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Molefhi said to address the problem, the road was planned for rehabilitation in 2019/2020 financial year.

Mr Molefhi noted that the tenders for the rehabilitation had been evaluated and submitted in February 2019 to the district tender committee for adjudication.

He further explained that the intention was to start the works as soon as the tender had been awarded.

Mr Batshu had asked the minister when the road between Ramokgwebana Border Post and the actual boundary line with Zimbabwe, which was in a bad state and an eye sore to the travelling community, would be repaired. ENDS
