Permanent Secretary to the President Mr Carter Morupisi has applauded companies which contributed towards Moroka Primary School special education hostels.
Speaking at the school recently, Mr Morupisis, who is its patron, hailed Gabs Bedding and Mmabolao Furniture for supplying the school with furniture.
He also appreciated the constructors who volunteered their services to construct the hostels.
Mr Morupisi, who said the aim of his visit was to appreciate progress made on the project, also commended the North East District Council for arranging for the care of project beneficiaries and employing the needed personnel.
Council Chairperson Ms Florah Mpetsane said the project was anticipated to be completed end of this month.
She revealed that the council sourced an additional P500 000 for the project.
Councillor Mpetsane further said nine people including the matron were employed to assist in taking care of the pupils on a three-shift per 24 hours basis.
For his part, the donor’s representative, Mr Osegofetse Dikeleko from Gabs Bedding and Mmabolao Furniture said their donation was 24 beds worth P43 176.
