Ministry sends officers for further training

The Ministry of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services has sent 10 officers for studies at Masters level between 2013 and 2019, Parliament has been told.

Answering a question in parliament on March 4, the Assistant Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Mr Itumeleng Moipisi said one officer in the corporate services, five in the department of water and sanitation, two from surveys and mapping and another two from town and country planning were sent for further studies.

Mr Moipisi said the amount spent on consultancy services in the past five years in the ministry was P283, 057, 350.10.

Specially Elected Member of Parliament Mr Mephatlo Reatile had asked the assistant minister the number of employees that have been sent for further studies at Masters level and to provide the breakdown by departments and if none, the reason why employees were not sent for further studies.

He also wanted to know the amount of money spent on consultancy services in the past five years in the ministry. ENDS
