Head of Centre For Leadership Development, at Botswana Public Service College, Ms Daisy Peloewetse has commended Kanye Administrative Authority (KAA) for their hard work and contribution towards achievement of a broad representative service delivery driven employees.

Ms Peloewetse said this at the KAA public service awards in Kanye recently.

The awards were held under the theme; Moving Towards Excellence.

Therefore Ms Peloewetse said the theme reminded her of the importance of working hard to ensure consistent and timely delivery of service.

She highlighted that for the year 2020, focus should be centered on the best team award as a way of encouraging collaboration and breaking of silos.

Ms Peloewetse also commended KAA management for implementing the performance management reward process by rewarding good performance.

She indicated that it was through proper implementation of effective performance management system that they could reach their desired future.

“Supervisors must see to it that performance agreements are signed and reviewed,” she said.

She noted that recognition does indeed motivate other employees to strive for excellence.

She indicated that just like service delivery, quality improvement, customer satisfaction, performance management, teamwork and productivity could contribute to the success of their vision.

She further implored employees who did not receive any award to introspect and work hard so that they could be among those who will be recognised next year.

In his welcome remarks, KAA chairperson, Mr Tlhomamo Dibeela indicated that the council was striving to  take services to the people.

He indicated that they had set standards to fulfill their mandate, which was embedded in their mission, vision and values.

He further noted that they had tried to localise procurement so that it could benefit the locals, adding that they also outsourced where such skills were not available in their area. ENDS
