 The chairperson of the Palapye Administrative Authority (PAA), Mr Lesedi Phuthego has indicated that road construction and maintenance projects are scheduled to take place in the region in the 2019/2020 financial year.

Addressing PAA full council meeting on February 18, he said the Radisele-Palapye Labour Based Technology road project was currently at the adjudication stage after which the tender to pursue the project would be recommended for award.

He said the rehabilitation of the Palapye South-Martins Drift road project was also due to commence. 

He added that the design and environmental impact assessment of the project had been completed and the construction project was currently awaiting funds to be availed for the project to start.

Mr Phuthego further indicated that concrete paving, drift installation and stone pitching of Matlhakola, Goo-Tau, Goo Sekgweng, Manaledi-Ratholo and Majwaneng-Lerala project was still at the adjudication stage and the tender to pursue the project would be awarded in due time. 

He further said that the dry grading of Malaka-Moremi road was completed February 5. ENDS
