Masisi consoles family

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi on February 19, paid his condolences on the family of Botswana Democratic Party Kgalagadi North nominated councillor Mr Judge Molemele who died in Gaborone on February 14.
Mr Molemele, 70, passed on at Gaborone Private Hospital after a short illness, according to his elderst son, Mr Lapologang Molemele.
President Masisi said the late councillor, who he described as a hardworking and dedicated BDP councillor, would be missed for his dedication in serving the nation.
President Masisi thanked the family for allowing their remarkable son to serve the nation in various capacities and assured them of the nation’s support during the trying time.
“We will do our best to fulfill Mr Molemele’s aspirations,” he said.
Before joining active politics, Mr Molemele worked for both government and private sector for 30 years including at Botswana Police Service, Debswana Jwaneng Mine and Diamond Squad among others.
Mr Molemele, who hails from Lokgwabe, was a Kgalagadi District Council councillor from 2014 and held various positions within the council including that of vice chairperson for Hukuntsi Sub-district Council, the position he held until 2017.
Mr Molemele will be laid to rest at Lokgwabe on Saturday.
He is survived by his wife, Ms Violet Molemele four children; two sons and two daughters and a daughter in law.
Family spokesperson, Mr Mabuse Molatole thanked President Masisi for finding time in his tight schedule to console the family.
He thanked the president for his good heart and accepted his condolences and wished him well. Ends
