Jwaneng Galaxy Police XI share spoils

Police XI held Jwaneng Galaxy to a 2 all draw in a BTC premiership match played in Jwaneng on February 16 night.
The visitors were the first to open the score sheet through Katlego Masole, and several attempts by Thero Setsile for an equaliser proved futile as the game went to recess with Police XI leading.
However, Jwaneng Galaxy managed to come back hungrier in the second half, with Setsile registering the first goal for his side.
Having lost goalkeeper Lesego Bosekeng due to a head injury in the first stanza, the visitors were now working extra hard to prevent any threats towards Boemo Moeba’s goal posts.
Jwaneng Galaxy’s second goal came through Patrick Kaunda. It was, however, short-lived as Bonolo Fraizer netted a penalty for Police XI in the dying minutes of the game.
Jwaneng Galaxy assistant coach, Modiri Marumo said in a post-match interview that they missed a lot of chances, which could have delivered victory rather than a draw. He said they needed to prepare more so that in future they were able to manage the game after scoring the leading goal to avoid losses. “We have to work more so that next time we know how to play after the winning goal,” he said.
Police XI coach, Mike Sithole said he was satisfied with the results considering he was still building the team, and that he was impressed that they managed to come back after allowing their opponents to lead despite having taken the lead
He said he was optimistic that all would fall into place once they understood each other. ENDs
