Mmea kgotla does not have post of driver

Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development made arrangements with Letlhakane Tribal Administration to station the Mmea Customary Court vehicle at the sub-district headquarters for purposes of utilisation and safety.
Answering a question from Boteti East MP, Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Kgotla Autlwetse said the arrangement was made because Mmea kgotla currently does not have a post of driver.
He said as at February 7, the mileage of the vehicle was 19 993, and it was driven by a driver based at Letlhakane.
“My ministry fully understands that Mmea is one of the RAD settlements that benefit from affirmative action and once the post driver is available, it will be advertised in Mmea village. We expect that the driver will be in the post by June 2019,” he said. Mr Autlwetse pointed out that on weekly basis; Mmea is assisted by a vehicle from Mokubilo kgotla.
He told the House that 30 vehicles and furniture were procured for kgotla offices completed under the Economic Stimulus Programme 1 (ESP) for the 2016/17.
He added that Mmea kgotla was part of the ESP 1 and 2 packages.MP Lelatisitswe had asked for an update on the status of the Land Cruiser that was part of the ESP package for the construction of a Kgotla in Mmea,He also wanted the minister to state why the vehicles was not in Mmea, its current mileage, who was its driver and why it took long for the vehicle to be taken to Mmea.
