Sharps Shooting Stars have appointed Matshidiso ‘Chirwa’ Moseki as their head coach, the BTC Premiership club announced on January 24.

Moseki, who until recently was Jwaneng Galaxy assistant coach, takes the reins from assistant coach Kentse Motlhale, who was holding the fort after the surprise departure of Rapelang ‘Raizor’ Tsatsilebe before the commencement of the league’s second round.

He has coached Letlapeng when they were playing in the first division and lower division side Atlantic Swallows, as well as acting as Galaxy interim coach last year.

Moseki became the fifth Sharps’ head coach in less than two full seasons after Keitumetse Paul, Tsatsilebe and Michael Sithole, since the Old Naledi team gained promotion to top flight football.

His first match in charge is today when fifth placed Sharps visit bottom of the log Black Forest at Molepolole Sports Complex.

The encounter will kick off at 7pm. Sharps won the previous encounter between the two team 2-1 in the first round in October.

Lawrence Nduga and Kago Segokgo were on target for Sharps while Donald Botshoma scored for Forest.

Sharps will be aiming to win the match and continue their good performance which has seen them among the front runners in the league this season.

Forest on the other hand will be looking to stop their current wretched run where they have lost their last five matches.

Meanwhile, in other week 18 matches to be played this evening, Miscellaneous host Sankoyo Bush Bucks at Serowe Sports Complex at 7pm, while BDF XI welcome Police XI at Lobatse Sports Complex at 7pm.

On January 31, Extension Gunners host Gaborone United at Lobatse Sports Complex at 7pm, Mochudi Centre Chiefs welcome Notwane at Molepolole Sports Complex at 7pm, Orapa United entertain BR Highlanders at Itekeng Stadium at 6pm,, Jwaneng Galaxy take on Prisons XI at Galaxy Stadium at 6pm  while log leaders, Township Rollers lock horns with Security Systems on Thursday at Molepolole Sports Complex at 7pm.
