President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi arrived this afternoon from Davos, Switzerland  where he attended the 49^th session of the World Economic Forum.

Breifing the media upon arrival, President Masisi said Botswana’s maiden attendance at the World Economic Forum was an enriching experience.

He said the World Economic Forum, which kicked off in Davos last week, offered Botswana a relaxed, engaging and issue-based format, whose purpose was to find solutions to intractable problems the world was faced with.

While in Davos, President Masisi participated in a number of panels and also engaged with a number of leaders as well as one on one meetings. 

He said Switzerland was saturated not only with wealth, but science, technology innovation and willingness to venture out.

President Masisi was accompanied by Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Ms Bogolo Kenewendo, who reiterated Dr Masisi’s stance that the Botswana delegation held fruitful interactions in Davos. ENDS
