1 935 patients referred to South Africa

The Assistant Minister of Health, Mr Gaotlhaetse Matlhabaphiri has told Parliament that 1 935 patients were referred to South Africa in the past two financial years.
He said 843 patients were referred at a total cost of P100 235 177 in 2011/12 and 1 092 patients were referred at a total cost of P111 275 756 in 2012/13.
MP for Gaborone Central, Mr Dumelang Saleshando had asked the minister to state the total number of patients referred to South Africa for medical attention in the past two financial years and the total cost for such transfers. ENDS
