06 Jan 2019
The P5 million in rentals owed to the Rolong Land Board has been highlighted as one of the major challenges experienced by the entity last year.
Speaking at the chairman’s ball recently, Rolong Land Board chairperson, Mr Nathaniel Motshabi, expressed concern about people who were reluctant to pay rentals.
Acknowledging employees’ for commitment and dedication at the close of 2018, Mr Matshabi said they had achieved impressive results. “As from the beginning of the year they have set a target to allocate 300 plots and have managed to allocate 299 plots,” he said.
He said the purpose of the celebration was to recognise and celebrate employees’ success and celebrate achievement of the year.
He said the board was in the process of finalising the land registration exercise since they were now implementing the Land Information Systems.
Mr Motshabi congratulated the board’s management for the immense contribution they made towards the achievement of its mandate. Employees who performed beyond expectations during the year received awards with the best performing department award going to Legal Services and the chairman’s award to technical officer Ms Onneile Malatsi.
Present at the ceremony was acting Barolong paramount chief Kgosi Botiki Motshegare, who presented the long service and good conduct award to Ms Tadi Kgakatsi. Ends
