Masisi consoles Chamme family

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi (left), First Lady Neo Masisi and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Thuso Ramodimoosi visited the Chamme family on January 2 to convey their condolences following the death of Deputy Attorney General, Mr Morulaganyi Chamme in Gaborone. President Masisi said Mr Chamme’s passing was not only a loss to his family, but to the nation as a whole. He said Mr Chamme was a dedicated officer who served diligently and sacrificed a lot for the country. Mr Chamme joined the Attorney General’s Chamber as State Counsel in August 1984. He rose through the ranks and was appointed Deputy Government Attorney in 2002. He then became Deputy Attorney General in 2012, a position he held until his demise. During his over 30 years career he has defended government in numerous high profile cases. Mr Chamme died on December 31, 2018 after a short illness. He is survived by his wife and three children. He will be buried in Mahalapye, his home village,  January 5.
