Sub council chair appreciates employees

03 Dec 2018

The just ended Okavango sub district council session culminated with the chairman’s ball where some employees were recognised and rewarded for the hard work.

The employees were junior managers who had done exceptionally well to ensure that offices were run and work was done per expectations.

Speaking at the event, Okavango sub district council chairman, Mr Mbahahauka Kambimba said he saw it fit to appreciate the work of some junior managers and reward them as they were the backbone of every department.

Mr Kambimba said recognition and award of certificates should be a motivation to the beneficiaries to even work harder and do more.

He however appreciated the Okavango sub district staff and councilors for the support throughout the year, therefore encouraged them to continue with the spirit.

Okavango sub district deputy district commissioner, Mr Thabang Waloka also applauded the sub district, noting that they were doing well in many aspects despite some challenges.

He said Okavango was one district faced with many challenges, but despite that, employees continued to do a good job.

He also encouraged those that did not receive awards not to despair, but that should be a motivation to work harder so that they also get appreciated in future.

To those who received the awards, Mr Waloka encouraged them to continue doing the good job and even do better than that.

He also implored employees to love their job and also understand that loving one’s job made it easy for them to be productive. ENDS
