Matambo dismisses P8bn allegations

Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Mr Kenneth Matambo has dismissed allegations that there is P8 billion unaccounted for at Bank of Botswana.
Mr Matambo said successive financial statements had generated clean audit reports that confirmed appropriate maintenance of accounts and existence of sound risk and internal control environment at Bank of Botswana.
Maun West MP, Mr Tawana Moremi had asked the minister to confirm reports that a sum of P8 billion was unaccounted for at Bank of Botswana.ENDS
