Cells cater for males females

The maintenance of Mmatshumo, Mosu, Khwee, Mokubilo and Mmea villages holding cells are incorporated in the district maintenance plan, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso has explained.
She said the cells in Mosu, Mmatshumo and Khwee were built in 1994, 1995 and 2000 respectively, while the Mokubilo and Mmea ones were respectively constructed in 2011/12 and 2016/17.
She said since 2000, the designs for cells cater for both males and females with separate rooms and separate ablutions.
Boteti East MP, Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe had asked for an update on the status and maintenance of these holding cells.
He had also asked if the cells catered for both males and females, and if not, what happened when both were apprehended at the same time.ENDS
