Peace Makers maintain winning form

Peace Makers continued with their winning form by humiliating Red Lions 6-0 in a Selebi Phikwe Region Second Division League encounter held at Selebi Phikwe Stadium on Saturday.
Bobonong-based Peace Makers started the game like a house on fire by attacking Selebi Phikwe-based Red Lions at all angles. Red Lions defence made mistakes and Peace Makers’ top man, Karabo Moreba scored his first goal in the ninth minute.
Peace Makers continued to attack with Gofaone Moreba and Karabo Moreba combing well in front to cause havoc on Red Lions defense.
Moreba scored his second goal in the 10th minute capitalising on the weak defence of Red Lions, which was not able to clear deadly balls inside their box.
The combination of Red Lions top men, Motshwari Goitseone and Onkabetse Solomon tried everything to penetrate the defence of Peace Makers but it remained solid and organised.
Peace Makers continued to pile pressure Red lions’ defence but Lekopnyi Moagi and Karabo Moreba failed to increase Peace Makers lead with their shots going wide in a clear scoring opportunity.
The game went to half time with Peace Makers dominating the play and leading with two goals.
In the second half, Peace Makers continued to pile pressure on Red Lions until Gofaone scored his first goal from a corner kick beating Red Lions keeper, Patrick Tebagano, who was not well positioned in the goal posts, to increase the lead of his team to three goals.
Peace Makers players were reduced to 10 men in the 51st when Thomas Mmolotsi was given a red card.
Kediemetse Matlhogojane scored Peace Makers fourth goal in the 55th minute after Red Lions defence erred inside the box.
Former Nico United and Green Lovers player, Gofaone scored his second goal to increase Peace Makers lead with five goals.
Peace Makers did not give Red Lions a chance and scored a sixth through Kgomotso Moela, ending the game with a 6-0 score.
Last week, they walloped Mmadinare Sundowns 7-0. They led the league with 25 points in nine games played.
Peace Makers coach, Otsile Busang said his team won because players stuck to the plan.He said his mission was to help his team gain promotion to Debswana First Division.
Red Lions’ assistant coach, Lucas Segopa said his youthful players struggled to play in the green grass because of lack of proper soccer boots.
He said they were building a new team after most of the players were signed by First Division teams adding that most of the players were under 23.
In other Debswana First Division North league games, Tafic won 1-0 against Nico United leaving Majombolo losing three games in row with Tafic left on top of Debswana First Division North league.
Calendar won 4-1 against Great North Tigers, Palapye All Stars won 1-0 against Motlakase Power Dynamos while Morupule Wanderers won 2-0 against Green Lovers. ENDS
