BTC launches mobile centre
22 Nov 2018
Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Limited (BTCL) on November 20 launched its mobile service centre to take services closer to people.
The P1.6 million truck uses a generator and has back-up power.
Despite its vast network coverage, BTC only has 22 stores across the country which means not all areas are covered hence the mobile service centre which boasts an interior emulating an actual BTC store.
The corporation’s head of indirect sales, Mr Boyce Diseko said a team has embarked on a journey across the country to take services closer to clients. Targeted areas, he said, would include Tsabong, Shakawe, Ghanzi and Maun.
He said the initiative would be evaluated to assess its effectiveness and to decide whether more vehicles would be needed in future. The centre consists of three service stops to help clients.ENDS
